Baltimore County

Baltimore County is located in the heart of Maryland, home to over 850,000 residents, and conveniently situated with access to both Baltimore City and Washington, D.C. Spanning 598 square miles, the county almost entirely surrounds Baltimore City and is bounded by Pennsylvania to the north, the Chesapeake Bay to the southeast, and the Patapsco River to the south and southwest. The county seat is Towson.

With 200 miles of waterfront, 90 marinas and yacht clubs, and access to Patapsco Valley and Gunpowder Falls State Parks, Baltimore County offers abundant outdoor recreation. The county's park system includes over 216 parks, 43 community facilities, and 82 miles of trails across more than 10,000 acres of parkland — supporting hiking, biking, boating, fishing, and more.

Baltimore County is also an economic powerhouse, with nationally recognized public schools, colleges and universities, and a private sector generating $47.7 billion in economic output. The county holds a Triple-A bond rating, a distinction shared by only two percent of counties nationwide.
